With the approach of a new decade we are faced with challenging situation to reach the mass for your businesses. With the battle raging on and on about “Old School” vs “New School” also know as Web 2.0 marketing. Many of us are facing the fact that our friends and family don’t want to here about our products or company for that matter, any longer. So where do we find all of these people who want to get involved with a home based or network marketing business. How do I find them? Most say I will bring my business to the internet and make a fortune. Well, the problem with that is, they bring the same old methods with them online and it falls flat. Why is it that most people fail when bringing the network marketing company to the internet? They slam people about their company being the best thing ever. Well you know how that goes. With old school marketing, you know 3 foot rule stuff. People online don’t what to here it and they are not even listening to you. You are just another salesman trying to sell them. They will just UN-follow you in a heartbeat. People buy or join from people they know, like, and trust, that is why the old school marketing work so well in ’70’ 80 ’90’s.
Well how do we do this online? First, stop promoting your MLM or affiliate program.Start promoting yourself as a leader in this industry. I believe part of the old school and parts of Web 20 is the answer to the online dilemma. I have been bringing this concept of Convergence Marketing online through my You Tube videos. I have seen using a combination of both of these methods, we can have success online. Once you promote yourself as the leader and expert, people will be attracted to you and want to learn from you and will pretty much join whatever you bring to the table.
